Commissioning Engineer  (London and M3 corridor)

Reporting to:

Technical Director


£35,000-£50,000 (dependant on experience) plus performance related bonus, overtime and standby. 21 days paid leave per year plus bank holidays. Health insurance, company vehicle with fuel card. Laptop and mobile handset, Nest pension scheme.


London (within M25) Field Based.


We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hard-working commissioning engineer based within the M25 to provide installation and support services to our client base across central London and the surrounding areas. Ideally, with experience in both domestic and commercial environments, the successful candidate will commission (second fix), program and commission technology components from the Smartworks portfolio with a strong focus around, Control4, Crestron and Bang and Olufsen. Technology solutions will likely include:

BMS/Control and Automation


AV, in particular Bang and Olufsen

Access control

HVAC integration and supplies

Data networks and carrier services

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and creative BDM to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing new relationships with businesses in target verticals (construction, hospitality, retail) and with an innate ability to match technology solutions to target client priorities and objectives. Excellent communication and negotiation skills and essential to the role, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a creative, entrepreneurial mindset are also key. The BDM will be responsible for articulating the Smartworks portfolio of technologies which include, connectivity, security, home automation and building management systems, audio visual and along with core M&E services such as small power, lighting and HVAC. Full sales training will be provided during a six-month probationary period.
